Postcards from bondi

Hey there!
I decided to go for the iconic Bondi – Coogee walk today. From dawn the weather was beautiful, it was the perfect day. I came by around 9am, it was already super hot and packed! Men were all jogging around shirtless, and girls were all wearing bras and cycling shorts, and caps and long hair, carrying a mug in their hands. I found this amusing, this sort of body cult, and this feeling of being surrounded by stereotyped, cloned characters.
I liked the beach very much. It was so big, all golden, the water sometimes metallic and sometimes cristal clear, depending on how I moved relatively to the sun. I love how the ocean sparkles on the picture. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?
Cheers! xx

Hey!
Oh how I’d love you to see what I’m looking at right now. From Bondi Beach, the path weaves along the cliffside, and you step from a creek to another, and from a water to another, and as you overlook the beaches, people are so small they look like cartoons characters. You can see them from afar, in the silent, this is both funny and poetic, and so colorful! And the water! Waves are rolling their foam, intense and so delicate at the same time. The hues are incredible – turquoise, navy, azur…
I walk listening to music, and photographing everything I can. This is what I call happiness.
See you xx

Hello!
Well, I think I’ve found my favorite spot from the walk. I don’t know why this rectangular pool made such an impression on me. Maybe it’s the water shade – have you seen this splendid green?! – or maybe it’s the people, the color of their swimsuits, the way they swim in the pool or the way they walk around, I don’t know. I felt like I was in another time, another era, and despite the crowd everywhere, when I think back to this moment, I think only of my joy being against this balustrade, playing with the landscape. I’d like to be there again.
Love and kisses! xx

Hey
This is it, this is over, soon. I went all the way to Coogee, bathed several times of course, then went back the other way. It was all another experience to walk there at a different time of day, when the sun has moved and shines in a new way, and also to see the creeks from another angle. We never really look back when we are walking. And that’s a pity, because sometimes, a landscape or a track is even more beautiful seen from the other side!
I loved the way the light is reflecting on this building, and this rock. This morning already I loved it, but this afternoon, I thought it deserved to be captured on my film.
Cheers xx

Heyo
It wasn’t planned like this, but after playing in the waves for a while, I hung around Bondi in the late afternoon, and I didn’t regret it. The vibe is great, there are some nice shops and I had the best Tiramisu ice cream I’ve ever had in my entire life, and believe me when I say I know what I’m talking about! I wanted to take the bus back to Sydney, but none of them stopped, even though they weren’t full and there were dozens of us waiting on the sidewalk. 20 minutes passed and 5 buses maybe, so I decided to go back in town by foot. Well, it was an hour and 40 minutes’ walk, but it was still so warm outside, and to be honest, I didn’t have anything else to do. I secretly thought I’d catch another bus on the way, but I changed my mind. I walked back to the hostel. And it was great. The entire day was great. I think it made me realize that I was in Australia, for real.
See you soon xx
